Every time I'd look up best places in the triad area for breakfast, Tex & Shirley's always came up. After coming here for the first time, I see why! Everything here is five stars! From the food, atmosphere, to the service, it all gets a gold star! I got the pancakes, I want with bacon and eggs. The pancakes were awesome! So light and fluffy. It's definitely something that I would get again. I've been back a couple times since my initial visit, so it's definitely been added into the breakfast spot rotation list. Service was great and always made sure that we were taken care of, and the price point is it beatable for a good and delicious breakfast.

Very good breakfast. A quick Yelp search and I found this place. I'm glad I did, great food, quick and friendly service, and good prices. We also didn't have a wait. This place checked all the boxes for me. It'll have to be on our rotation!

I've been here several times for breakfast. Food is always great as evidenced by the line on a Sunday morning. I always get the same thing, bacon and cheddar omelette with a side of pancakes. It doesn't look big, but it's stuffed with bacon. If you're into fresh squeezed orange juice this is the place. They squeeze on demand. Tip: Sunday is ALWAYS busy

Tex & Shirley's is a staple brunch spot in the triad. I had never been to this location before so we stopped in recently. I ordered the breakfast combo with home fries and pancakes. This was a ton of food and everything was really good. The pancakes had the perfect fluffy consistency. The home fries had a nice flavor to them as well. The restaurant was busy because we came on a Sunday at lunch so we did have to wait a little bit.

I enjoyed this 1st visit! The food was delicious. It was Sunday brunch time and it was busy, however I opted to sit at the bar and was served rather quickly. The atmosphere was casual. I plan on returning.

This is definitely going to be my favorite breakfast spot, now that I am back in Greensboro! I hadn't been to Tex & Shirleys in a while, so hadn't realized that they had moved. It's a great location with plenty of parking! I'd come here for the coffee alone! It was the best "diner" coffee that I've ever had! It was so good I bought a bag of beans to take home with me, it was $16. Menu offering was standard breakfast fare, and all of it was good! One of my nieces had the pancakes, and I tried her leftover one, and even cold, it was good! Makes me want to know the recipe; this pancake was that good! I've been so disappointed recently with other restaurant or even home made pancakes that I've made, but this pancake was super yummy! I ordered the "Build your Own" omelette with home fries, but next time I would definitely go with the pancakes. We came relatively early, so we were able to get a table for six quickly. When we left, the restaurant was getting super crowded! Service wise, we had an amazing server, who kept bringing us hot coffee, and was patient with all our requests. I regret I didn't get her name, but she was stellar, and answered our questions patiently about the history of the restaurant. The entire bill for a party of six was super reasonable, so considering price, service, food, and location, you really can't beat it! This is why it's a 5 star for me!

I remember the Tex and Shirley's when it was at Friendly's Shopping Center...the food was good and now...it is amazing! When we walked in the hostess was polite and gave us a 15-20 minute wait, first available. They take your phone number and you get an update text when your table is ready. I don't think we waited 5 minutes. We sat at the bar. I enjoyed that. You can get a great view of the restaurant. The place has a good vibe. I like the interior decor and I also like they have outdoor tables. Our waitress who was working behind the bar was busy. She was working! Watching her maneuver around the place was something to watch. She apologized for some of the wait in between her service, but you couldn't be annoyed because she was getting the job done! The freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious. The coffee is fresh. Every time I go out for breakfast I have the notion to try something new, but I always get the go to breakfast platter. The platter comes with a ton of food and it was soooooooo good. Eggs, 3 meats, grits or potatoes and toast or pancakes. The sausage had a great texture and fresh taste. The eggs were cooked just like I like them. The ham wasn't too salty...perfect! The bacon was delish. Ok...drum roll...my favorite thing I've had in a while...the cheesy grits! Perfection! Yum! My only complaint is that it didn't come in super large bowl lol It was apparent that my daughter loved her French toast because before I could finish putting butter on my toast, I looked over at her plate...gone. I had a puzzled look on my face because I thought it dropped or someone took her food. I asked her where is your food? Gone. I don't even think I got a good look at it. Whatever you put in those she loved it. The plate was clean. Not a crumb was left on her plate. This place is definitely being added to my heavy rotation. Yep, you should definitely go.
